K V Narayanaswamy - Saṅgīta Kalānidhi Lec-dem Day 2 (Utsavaprabandham), The Music Academy, 1986

Nādabhṛṅga brings you a wonderful lecture-demonstration from the archives by Palghat Sri K V Narayanaswamy delivered at The Music Academy Madras, during the December music season of 1986. K V Narayanaswamy was the Saṅgīta Kalānidhi designate that year. He delivered lecture-demonstrations on 4 days during the morning Experts' Committee Sessions that year. This recording is of day 2 of this series, delivered on the morning of the 21st of December 1986. KVN performed a selection from the Utsavaprabandham by Mahārāja Svāti Tiruṇāḷ, a set of compositions vividly describing the entire utsavam (festival) period at the Anantapadmanābhasvāmi temple in Tiruvanantapūram. KVN concluded this demonstration with a few select verses from "Bhaktimañjari", a set of 1000 śloka-s by Mahārāja Svāti Tiruṇāḷ on Lord Padmanābha Svāmi.
