Nādabhṛṅga brings you a wonderful lecture-demonstration from the archives by Palghat Sri K V Narayanaswamy delivered at The Music Academy Madras, during the December music season of 1986. K V Narayanaswamy was the Saṅgīta Kalānidhi designate that year. He delivered lecture-demonstrations on 4 days during the morning Experts' Committee Sessions that year. This recording is of day 1 of this series, delivered on the morning of the 18th of December 1986. KVN began with a demonstration of the first 10 hymns of Āṇḍāḷ's Tiruppāvai, as tuned by his guru, the titan Ariyakkudi Sri Ramanuja Iyengar. This programme was originally recorded by James R Rubin.
