Weekly Rundown 23 February 2021
Co-hosts Will and Sean highlight articles published on Africa Is a Country this week.
One of these is from a guest previously featured on AIAC Talk, Yotam Gidron, who writes on the site that: "Over the past decade, support from Western Christian groups have become an increasingly dominant force in Israel’s relationships with Africa."
Check out Yotam's article, "The Politics of Blessing", as well as his book "Israel in Africa: Security, Migration, Interstate Politics", published by Zed Books.

Akin Adesokan writes in his article "A Special Type of Political Personality" how Nigerians old and young received the news of the death of Lateef Kayọde Jakande on Thursday February 11, 2021 with a near-universal outpouring of positive grief. At just six months shy of his 92nd birthday, the first civilian governor of Lagos State lived to a graceful old age.
"The truly progressive office-holder, well-spoken and well-informed, invested in politics as public service, heroically championing social democracy without losing sight of personal probity."
