The sweet spot between anti-corruption politics and a leftist agenda
If anti-corruption by itself can't be a sufficiently substantive politics, what alternatives do we see emerging that can offer a more meaningful politics and can anti-corruption play a role in getting that off the ground?
Guests Benjamin Fogel and Wangui Kimari can't offer a roadmap to this question but point to the need to build power in order to address the inequality in the distribution of resources and power, a foundation of cross-class mobilization to go beyond the vacuous politics of anti-corruption and that we will need to break the cycle of diminishing expectations where we no longer expect anything from the state but corruption.
