Pan African Space Station Lands in NYC!

The Pan African Space Station (http://panafricanspacestation.org.za/) is a 24-hour “cyber-spatial exploration of pan-African sounds” out of the publication Chimurenga. In November 2015, Africa is a Country stopped by PASS's first NYC Pop-Up studio at Performa Hub 15 in TriBeCa, which featured interviews and performances with NYC-based artists, scholars, and activists on the Pan-African scene. The Brooklyn-based African Record Center and artist Nontsikelelo Mutiti's African hair braiding salon also set up shop during the broadcast, as New Yorkers and travelers stopped in to listen.
