Chicago Style Italian Beef Stromboli at Home

Here's one more great thing to do with your pizza dough at home..a Stromboli! This classic east coast dish gets a Chicago-style treatment by filling it with mozzarella, Italian beef and hot giardiniera. Recipe
1 (412g) New York dough ball

• 2 cups (226g) whole milk mozzarella, shredded
• 8oz portions of Roast Beef, sliced thin
• ½ cup Giardiniera, Hot or Mild
• 1 Tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated
• Egg wash (1 whole egg and 1 Tbsp water, beaten)
• Sesame seeds (optional)

Stretch the dough into a rectangle.
Add the mozzarella.
Add the roast beef.
Add the giardiniera on top
Braid the dough to close (see video)
Brush lightly with the egg wash, being sure to make it uniform (optional)
Bake at 500 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes (Ideally, using the two stone method as shown in the video)
Let cool before cutting into the stromboli.
