Spitzkoppe in the Namib desert in Namibia close to Swakopmund - B1 Photo Safaris
The Spitzkoppe is a group of bald granite peaks or inselbergs located between Usakos and Swakopmund in the Namib desert of Namibia. The granite is more than 120 million years old and the highest outcrop rises about 1,728 meters above sea level. The peaks stand out dramatically from the flat surrounding plains.
The evening when we did some star photography a brown hyena surprised us was a truly amazing experience on foot and in the dark! A must-see destination when on tour in Namibia even a day trip is worth it for sure.
