Two Rocket stoves made from cinder blocks
Here are two versions of Rocket stove made in just minutes from cinder blocks, the smaller one from 5 blocks, the larger one from 6 blocks plus the base. Both use pot skirts for higher efficiency, and both put out very little smoke after they're well-lit. Note: you can't see it but on the smaller stove there's a piece of sheet metal covering the upper hole of the vertical blocks.
I'm not sure yet how these will do over the long term but they certainly have worked very well so far and boiled quite a number of pots full of water.
