Motoz RallZ tyres first impressions︱Cross Training Adventure

http://crosstrainingenduro.com A Motoz RallZ review will be coming soon. This is just our first impressions. Like most DR650 owners, I was keen to wear out the stock Dunlop Trailwings and replace them with better tyres. The Trailwings are affectionately known as 'Deathwings' as they are acceptable on the road but awful for offroad riding. Welcome to Cross Training Adventure, we are into all things dual sport and adventure on the east coast of Australia. The last 7000km I used Shinko 244 tyres which are an excellent budget 50/50 tyre. But our group is now spending more a lot more time on dirt roads, and often on some quite rough tracks as you can see with this ride. So I decided to try a set of Motoz Rallz after hearing a lot of good reports from adventure riders. Check out our reviews of various adventure bikes and dual sport bikes. They last a long time. They are close to the performance of knobbies off-road. And they are apparently more predictable than knobbies on-road. I regard these as 70/30 tyres. 70 off-road use and 30% road. Hopefully this will be perfect for our upcoming rides. I am keen to do a full review in a few months time after lots of riding. These are just my first impressions after some off-road rides and a bit of time on bitumen. There is definitely plenty of grip so far. This included mud, where the 50/50 tread pattern of the Shinko 244 rapidly turned into a slick. If you like dual sport riding in Australia then you might like our adventure riding vids. The grip does remind me of the Dunlop D606 knobbies I used for many years, but they wore out so quickly. I'm hoping these Motoz Rallz tyres will last much longer. And the reviews I read indicate this should be the case. Road performance? I need more time to make a full judgement. But the big block tread wasn't as noisy as expected. Grip? Again I need more time to test this. But other reviews indicate the silica used in construction allows for good traction on the road despite the hard compound for longevity. Keen on adventure riding in Australia? Check out our vids. For those riders wanting confidence inspiring rubber to venture into the gnar, with enough road matters to get you there and back comfortably, Motoz’s Tractionator RallZ is worth a look. The Motoz Tractionator RallZ is an impressively strong off-road tire that finds traction on any type of terrain. It’s maybe the best all-around tire for adv bikes that spend 80% of their time in the dirt. I think the Rallz is as good of a Unicorn ADV tire as we will be getting for a very long time. Seriously impressed the the Motoz RallZ. Pitched at a modest price point, the tyres deliver exceptional performance both on the road and on the trail. Have you used Motoz Rallz? What did you think? I'm keen to include your opinions when I do a long-term review. So subscribe. Or don't subscribe to our Cross Training Adventure riding channel. The main thing is get out and ride while you can with dual sport riding or Adventure riding in Australia, Canada, Vietnam, Romania and beyond! So check out Cross Training Adventure. We have occasional detours to places like Vietnam, Cambodia, Romania and Canada. This is one of our three channels, there's also a Cross Training Trials channel, and a Cross Training Enduro channel. All three are equally dodgy. We are the 27th most watched dirt channel in Uzbekistan. We have won the polished turd award five years in a row. And we have a world record 25 class action lawsuits for inaccurate information. We think the whole motorbike scene is getting too commercial. So called dual sport riding reviews are just glossy ads nowdays. Everyone is trying to sell you stuff you don't need, convince you to buy the latest model with anodized coffee cup holders for your trips to the coffee shop. Of course if you are cashed up and into bling, go for it. All we are saying is there's also the budget option for adventure riding. And it won't hold you back. Why? We reckon it's 80% the rider and 20% the bike. So the Cross Training Adventure focus is just get out there and have fun on two wheels. Instead of obsessing over the latest blinged out Beemer, which tyres to fit or spending a fortune on your suspension or billet alloy gas cap. So most of our adventure riding vids will feature the much loved bush pig, the Suzuki DR650. And we've done a 10 part series on how to unleash the mighty beast that lurks within. What else? Cross Training Adventure actively avoids sponsorship. We like doing seriously critical reviews. Manufacturers make some really bad mistakes. and there is a lot of dodgy crap being sold out there. Instead of glowing dual sport reviews for kickbacks or free product, we will try to keep the buggers honest.
