Michael Matheson 'cover-up' over £11,000 iPad bill will not be understood says Jackie Baillie

After an emotional statement by Health Secretary Michael Matheson who apologised for incurring £11,000 iPad bill, he was quizzed by Jacke Baillie.

Mr Matheson confirmed costs were incurred by his teenage sons watching football games, he said: “As a parent, I wanted to protect them from being part of the political and media scrutiny associated with this, something I believe any parent would want to do."

Labour’s Dame Jackie Baillie said parents of teenage children would understand the situation, but not the fact that there has been a “cover-up”.

And the fact the iPad was not kept secure was “negligent”, she said.
