Cricketer carries Just Stop Oil protester off the field at Lord's Ashes test
Three people were arrested at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London on Wednesday, June 28, the Metropolitan Police said, as Just Stop Oil protesters disrupted the second Ashes Test.
Footage recorded by Tom Potter shows orange powder on the field as one player is seen carrying a protester off. Other photos showed stewards tackling one protester, while England’s Jonny Bairstow did likewise.
The Metropolitan Police said three people were arrested and taken into custody.
Just Stop Oil confirmed that three protesters had thrown orange powder paint onto the field on Wednesday before being removed.
