FERRY FIASCO: SNP told their 'hubris will be matched by palpable anger of islands on West coast'

SNP minister, Neil Gray, yesterday admitted it may be cheaper to scrap one of the delayed ferries and start again - but vowed to push ahead with the costly vessel anyway.

Mr Gray told MSPs that work would continue to finish the second as yet unnamed Hull 802 as it would take too long to start again.

Mr Gray was quizzed by Tory MSP Jamie Greene, who said: 'Can I politely say to the minister that his hubris today will be matched by the palpable anger on islands on the West coast of Scotland.'
