Do you love to ski or snowboard and want to live minutes away from the hill? Well today guys I’m going to show you inside of a $27 million dollar Aspen mansion!

301 Lake Ave in Aspen, Colorado lies minutes away from the nearest chairlift. Aspen Colorado is arguably one of the most sought after ski paradises in the continental USA. Aspen is often looked at as the posh or high class ski town of America. What makes living in this town so expensive is pretty simple, space. In a ski town such as Aspen they are often set at the base area of large peaks which tend to be more remote areas. So when so many people want to live in such a small area, typical supply and demand comes into play.

Now don’t get me wrong 301 lake Ave has an asking price of $27 million dollars for a reason. Not only is it set in the heart of Aspen in a quite neighborhood. It is essentially a luxury modern compound.

The home sits on roughly a quarter acre of land with thick trees and brush to give it as much privacy as it can on such a small lot of land. Almost all of the quarter acre of land is taken up by house. The home itself is 9,597 sq ft of living space. Breaking down to about $2,803 per square foot. The home was built in 2017 and is a 5 bedroom and 8 bathroom. The owner of the home can expect to pay roughly $19,260 per year in property taxes which is surprisingly small considered the valuation of the home.

Diving into the home you are greeted with an extremely open floor plan. The house is shaped in more or less an L and has two levels. You enter the home from the second floor where most of the common areas are. To the left is the kitchen with very sleek dark cabinets to give it a very modern look. Within the same room as the kitchen is the main living area and dining area which hosts a wide exposed gas fire place. The room has tall vaulted ceilings with brick walls and tons of glass windows to make the room full of natural light. This house is surely designed for entertainment as just off the kitchen is a set of massive glass doors that leads you out to the first outdoor patio. Hosting another long gas fireplace which will surely make those cold nights still enjoyable outside. Swinging back to the other end of the house is the master bedroom. Continuing with the modern theme there is a floating platform bed in the center of the room facing out to the floor to ceiling windows showcasing the outdoor patio. Just off the master bedroom is the master bathroom which is flourished with marble to give it an ultra bright look. Literally the entire bathroom is white which can almost blind you, but then again that is to keep with the modern theme of the home.

Taking a couple steps outside you will find stairs to the roof top fire place and hot tub. The roof of the home is littered with plants to really give off a fully immersed wilderness feel. As well on the roof you will notice some of the solar panels helping to power the home.

Taking two flights of stairs down will bring you to the 1st floor or basement of the home. This is where you will find the remaining bedrooms and bathrooms of the home. As well you will find the 1st floor entertainment space which includes a living area and a full bar to treat your guests. The bottom floor opens up to a 725 sq ft private sunken garden and patio. Because you’re on such a small lot of land having this dugout patio the connects the first and second floor allows to maximize all the space available and make it feel larger than it really is. And that pretty much wraps up this $27 million dollar Aspen mansion!
