Previous defence ministers have been ‘asleep at the wheel’
Social Commentator Prue MacSween says the defence ministers before Peter Dutton have been “asleep at the wheel”.
It comes after Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce warned Australia will need to solve more of its own problems as he questioned the future of the United States’ global mission.
“We’ve got defence boffins that take 40 years to make a decision about anything,” Ms MacSween told Sky News host Gary Hardgrave.
“At least now this government is trying to get the red tape shortened.”
