Trump endorses Jim Jordan in race for House Speaker seat
Former President Donald Trump has offered his endorsement for an Ohio representative to succeed Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker.
Former President Trump is backing House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan for House Speaker, saying on Truth Social, “Congressman Jim Jordan has been a star long before his very successful journey to Washington, DC.”
Jim Jordan is a US Representative for Ohio's 4th congressional district.
He has been serving in this role since 2007.
Other Republicans are also joining Trump in supporting Jordan.
