Maine Part II

I was attempting to make a video for each week of my trip, but, as usual, things are not going to plan! This Baxter State Park video is jam-packed with kayaking, camping, cooking, hiking, and boondocking. Enjoy!

I drove up to Maine to simultaneously escape the summer heat and begin my 48-week-48-state roadtrip. Already the timeline for that trip has shifted. This video moves us into my second week in Maine, with lots more to come. I camped outside of Baxter State Park in central Maine, kayaked on a lake beside Mt. Katahdin, hiked Sentinel Mountain, then boondocked outside the park by The Painted Rock. This video contains some of my favorite moments from my trip so far, including kayak and camping in Maine. I hope you like it!

MY VAN: 2001 Dodge Ram Van 3500 High-Top, converted from a handicap passenger van

MY DISCLAIMER: Most of the labor I did on my van was my first time doing those things, so I am very much not an expert. There are countless ways to convert a van into a livable home, this is just my way. This is a DIY budget van build, so I cut some corners you may not want to cut. Always use proper safety precautions and thorough research.

MY STORY: After backpacking in Europe and Asia for 14 months, I've decided to explore the USA in a converted campervan. In October of 2019, I bought my Dodge Ram 3500 and began converting it into my future home. I'm now living in it full-time with my cat, Cosmo, while traveling the USA and experiencing #vanlife. My plan is to hit the rest of the lower 48 states by the end of 2021.
