Coming Soon: Safe Sleep Site

We’re launching Los Angeles’ first safe sleep pilot program in Rampart Village!

Opening within two weeks, this former parking lot will temporarily offer a safe place with 73 spaces for up to 120 people, including couples, to pitch their tents and get a better night’s rest without the fear and trauma that can come from sleeping on the street. 24 hour on-site services will be provided by Urban Alchemy and include meals, showers, bathrooms, and access to services such as counseling.

This site reflects the pathway to stability and wellness I often speak about in that it will soon be repurposed with 454 units of permanent supportive housing for formerly homeless individuals - a project I championed and helped shepherd through the City’s planning process.

From safe sleep sites to permanent supportive housing, my office is leaning-in and taking action to build this pathway in the 13th District. More updates soon!
