Tug and barge assist with Annabelle Dorothy Moran

We are on the Moran tractor tug Annabelle Dorothy Moran, as we steam up the Cooper River to assist the OSG ATB OSG Courageous and her barge OSG 244 out of their berth at the Hess Oil dock. I am not sure where they were going from Charleston, but I think it might have been Houston. According to tugboatinformation.com, OSG Courageous was built in 2011 by VT Halter Marine of Pascagoula, MS. She has 8000 horsepower and utilizes three rudders. She is an Atlantic V class ATB and has INTERcon couplers. Also according to tugboatinformation.com, Annabelle Dorothy Moran was built in 2012 by Washburn and Doughty of East Boothbay, ME. She is powered by a pair of 16 cylinder MTU-DD 16V4000M61 engines with Lufkin MV1600VS reduction gears at a ratio of 2:1, driving two Schottel 1215 "z-drives," for a rated 5,000 horsepower. A little further upriver, we see the container ship MOL Marvel getting worked on at North Charleston Terminal, as well as the Ro-Ro Liberty Promise and the bulk carrier Bulk Juliana. Enjoy the view from the tug. Many thanks go to Moran for allowing me to observe as a midshipman cadet. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome.
