FDNY Engine 230 responds to Box 0694

We are at quarters of FDNY Engine 230, Park Avenue Rats, at 701 Park Avenue, where we see the Engine as it responds first due to Box 0694 at 995 Myrtle Avenue between Throop Avenue and Marcus Garvey Boulevard for a phone alarm for smoke in a multiple dwelling. Engine 217 and Engine 218 were 2nd and 3rd due engines respectively. Ladder 102 and Ladder 108 were 1st and 2nd due trucks. Battalion 35 was the sole Chief on the Box. As it turns out, a couple of pieces of paper in a trash can were accidentally lit on fire, but were extinguished immediately. A 10-33 Code 2 for an Odor of Smoke - Any other type of odor was transmitted by Ladder 102, and all companies went 10-8 available. Engine 230 is a 2016 KME Severe Service Predator.
