FDNY Engine 88 responds to Box 3332

We are at quarters of FDNY Engine 88 and Ladder 38, First Due At The Zoo, at 2225 Belmont Avenue, where we see the engine as they respond 3rd due to Box 3332 at the intersection of East 187th Street and Grand Concourse for a manhole fire. Engine 48 and Engine 75 were 1st and 2nd due engines respectively. Ladder 56 and Tower Ladder 33 were the 1st and 2nd due truck companies. Battalion 19 was the sole Chief on the Box. A pair of Con Ed manholes were found to be smoking, probably due to a mix of water and salt getting into the manholes and mixing with the electrical equipment in the underground vaults.
