How to Send Audio Messages on iPhone

To send an audio message on your iPhone, first open the Messages app. Now, tap the conversation you’d like to send a voice message to. The audio message button has now moved to the app drawer, rather than being right in the text entry field. Tap the blue audio message icon. Then, tap the microphone icon to begin recording your message. When you’re finished, tap the stop button. You can then tap play to listen to your message before sending it if you like. If you aren’t happy with it, you can tap the X to delete your recording and start over. When you’re ready to send it, tap the upwards arrow icon to send off your audio message.

That’s all it takes to send audio messages on iPhone in iOS16.
