How to make crispy & crackling roast pork belly. This roast pork belly is incredibly crispy and crackling. The skin is golden and crispy and the meat is tender and juicy.
Crispy & Crackling Roast Pork Belly
1 kg pork belly
2 small tsp salt (equivalent to 1 tsp salt, normal sized teaspoon)
½ tsp white pepper
1 small tsp sugar (equivalent to ½ tsp sugar, normal sized teaspoon)
¾ tsp five spice powder
White vinegar
Sea salt (coarse)

Preheat oven to 205°C

Oven temperature : 205°C
Baking time: 60 minutes

Bake the roast pork in the middle of the oven.

Return to oven : Broil (grill) for another 30 minutes or until crispy and crackling. Place the tray on the top level of the oven.

Tips: Prick holes all over the skin of the pork belly as this will help the crispiness of the skin when roasting. This is an important step.

Rub with coarse sea salt all over the pork and the sides as this will also gives a good flavor of the meat.

Note: Only salt and sugar, my teaspoon sized were slightly smaller than the normal size. Only for this recipe. Sorry for the inconveniences.
