Unknown Jazz Song Number 11 (No longer unknown)

I never thought i would do this again. The last Unknown Jazz song i posted was number 8 back in late 2015. My numbering system skips 2 digits because of the number of my audio clip being number 11. Besides, i will fill those other two digits with "former" unknown tunes. Regarding this new clip, it's rather long. I believe most of the song is here. I predict that the full length of this is about 6:45. The audio of the clip comes directly from the audio of a fellow YouTuber's video who also has wondered what the song is. His audio is longer and superior in sound quality to mine. My clip is only about 35 seconds and comes from a tinny, mono clip from about 37 years ago. His clip is in stereo and came from a Tampa radio station in the late 80s. My purpose for stealing the superior audio of Cedric Harris' copy of the song is simply to increase the possibility of identifying the clip. On Cedric's copy of the video there is another song which comes on afterwards, and it is clearly a more documented and popular tune, so naturally, whatever music recognition software goes to work only concentrates on that part of the clip. My idea is to isolate THIS part of the clip (with its impressive length and stereo sound), and hope to get some recognition. I currently have no idea who does the song, but i am convinced that it was a mainstream artist or ensemble who stayed popular enough on jazz radio to not only be played in 2 different states (Texas and Florida), but to be played at least 7 years later? I believe that this tune was neither regional nor only available as a Direct-To-Disc record. I think the recording was on some label like Milestone or Pablo or maybe even Columbia (If the artist never got on CD). In any case, we need help in identifying this. I have few suggestions in who does the recurrent saxophone solo. It sounds to me like Sonny Fortune or Ernie Watts more than anybody else. However, those two men's discographies make that unlikely. So far, I have uploaded countless clips of this tune on WatZatSong.com and have had no results. So now i try YouTube. Let's see what happens.

FOOTNOTE: Special thanks to Cedric Harris for supplying me with the audio of the clip. Actually, i downloaded the video on my own and converted it to mp3 and slightly enhanced the bass frequencies on Audacity. If anybody has issues with my posting of this, please let me know. And by the way, If the copyright owner has issues, I'll do whatever you want, just tell me what the heck this song is!! Deal? Buena Suerte a todos!
