The Monkees - When Love Comes Knockin' (At Your Door)

I'm back with another music video. This one is from The Monkees. It comes from their second album, titled: "More of The Monkees." I put this one together last October (14 months ago). This is a delightful pop song written by Carole Bayer (Sager) and Neil Sedaka. The lead vocal was by Davy Jones (1945 - 2012). Recently we lost Robert Michael "Mike" Nesmith on December 10th. He was 20 days shy of his 79th birthday. He had recently wrapped up his final tour with former Monkee Micky Dolenz, who is now the last surviving band member.

I would like to post this video on an upbeat note, as a tribute to Mike. In his final years, he warmed to the concept of his achievement as a Monkee, being more receptive of the fans and cordial to his fellow band members. Trivially speaking, Peter Tork died just 8 days after his 77th birthday back in 2019.

Although Mike detested the record company's motives of releasing the band's second album without consent, some of his own compositions such as: "Mary Mary" ended up on the album. Of course, I'm easygoing about it all. My fanship for the boys came when I was a teenager in the 1980's. My Monkees albums were Rhino, not Colgems, Ha ha! The audio of this video comes from one of my copies of their second album. I'm not sure which one. The video graphics are my own. Now, let's listen to an innocent pop tune with Davy Jones on lead vocal. It can't hurt. No copyright infringement intended.

R.I.P. Mike Nesmith (1942 -2021). We love you. Your music lives on. Just listen to the Wichita Train Whistle :)
