Teal MP reaffirms her stance with Jewish community through ‘this absolutely terrible time’
Independent MP Allegra Spender has reaffirmed her stance with the Jewish community following the atrocities which have come from the war between Israel and Hamas.
Israel declared a state of war on October 7 following a surprise attack launched from Hamas, where the Palestinian militant group fired thousands of rockets as far north as Tel Aviv and infiltrated the south of the country.
“I’ve been clear also with those fellow crossbenchers that I absolutely do not support that Greens motion,” she told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“I was not surprised but pleased to see Kylea and Sophie supported the motion condemning Hamas overall.
“I think that was the absolutely appropriate thing for them to do.”
