Magnetic molecules and superconductors: novel materials for quantum technologies

Combining different materials in hybrid nanostructures represents a new frontier for the research in the field of quantum computing. This research, coordinated by University of Florence and published on Nature Materials, is focused on magnetic molecules in contact with a superconductive metal surface (such as Pb) whose combination activates quantum effects. These results pave the way for quantum sensors and information technologies.
