Hello there!
Thank you so much for taking out the time to watch our online English class video! Today, Gobo and I will be talking to children about what it feels like to feel lonely or invisible. Gobo finds out that Noisy Nora also feels invisible at times and that these feelings can sometimes cause her to act out. Come and join our online English Second Language classroom where we use puppetry, books, easy English conversation topics and fun teaching practices to learn English.

Now that you know what we’ll be doing in our online English Second Language class, I’d like to introduce you to the only rule in our classroom: NEVER, EVER, EVER use the word puppet!! Why? Well, you probably already noticed that Gobo is not a human… But he doesn't know that, so whatever you do, please don't tell him! That’s it! If you can keep that promise, then you can join our classroom!

About my lessons:
All of the techniques that I use in this video are just like the ones that I use in my ESL (English as a Second Language) classroom. That means that I read and speak with a lot of expression, body language, enthusiasm and that I also make a point of speaking in a clear manner.

It’s also very important to me that I use “real, everyday life” English and that my students get accustomed to hearing it. So, although I do make an effort to be understood in a clear manner, I also try my best to keep things as natural as possible. Besides, no one likes talking to a robot (or at least not yet!).

Why do I engage in a simple English conversation with Gobo before I start my lesson?
Well, for starters, it's a great way to start a lesson as I can introduce objects or subjects to the students THROUGH Gobo. This allows for my students to discuss Gobo's reaction to whatever topics that I have in mind or anything else that he mentions, for that matter.
