Stony Brook University has always been a leader in materials research, but in the last decade, the focus of the Department of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering has shifted to address the world's most pressing issue: Climate Change. And the faculty within the department are involved in a number of multi-disciplinary Centers, Institutions and frontier research groups that allow them to advance the science rapidly for this changing world.
