Chordplay - The Chords Of Steve Stevens

Here's the next episode of Chordplay with The Chords Of Steve Stevens. I've had a number of requests to feature Steve on the LNL channel and while most people know Steve from his work with Billy Idol in the 1980s and beyond, Steve's also worked with a wide array of artists such as Terry Bozzio, Tony Levin, Michael Jackson, Vince Neil, and many others. He also played the famous guitar parts to the Top Gun Theme along with releasing his own solo albums and fiery music and material for decades.

This lesson takes a look at a variety of chord-based ideas coming from Steve, including his frequent use of mutated minor 7th chord riffs, which can be found in some of his ideas with Billy Idol, Vince Neil, and his solo material as well. We're also hitting some famous riffs from Billy Idol songs, along with some lesser-known ideas from his solo album Atomic Playboys, and much more.
