Chordplay - The Chords Of David Bowie

Here's the next episode of Chordplay with The Chords Of David Bowie. I've had some requests to feature some of Bowie's music and this episode tackles some of the unique and interesting chords and progressions found in the late-great artist's landmark and influential music while spanning a variety of musical styles in the process - from rock, pop, funk, experimental, soul/R&B, and more, there's a little bit of everything for everyone hiding in this lesson.

David Bowie was a solid rhythm guitarist and approached the guitar as a songwriter, but he always had a knack for creating weird chord progressions and locating unusual voicings, as this lesson investigates. He also had quite a history of working with outstanding guitarists in his career, including Mick Ronson, Carlos Alomar, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robert Fripp, Earl Slick, and many more - so you're in good hands in this lesson.

If you're looking for some different chord-based ideas to add to your playing or a Bowie fan in search of some elusive chords/riffs, this lesson should do the trick. From classics such as 'Space Oddity,' 'Ziggy Stardust,' and the ultra-funky 'Fame,' to lesser-known tracks such as 'Right,' 'Wild Is The Wind,' and much more!
