Iran Holds State Funeral for Top Military Leaders Killed in War with Israel

Hundreds of thousands of mourners lined the streets of Tehran to pay their respects to slain military leaders.

A state funeral took place in Iran for about 60 people, including military commanders and nuclear scientists, killed during the 12 day-conflict with Israel.

Coffins draped in the Iranian flag, with portraits of the slain commanders passed by crowds in the square.

Crowds chanted ‘Death to America’ and ‘Death to Israel’ as the trucks with the caskets drove along the capital’s Azadi Street.
