Dramatic Footage Shows White House Demolition Works as Trump’s Ballroom Vision Unfolds

New footage shows construction crews tearing down part of the East Wing of the Whitehouse, which was last modified in the Second World War.

This comes as Trump sets in motion his plans to build a 250 million dollar ballroom in the area, which will cover 90,000 square feet, and will seat 650 guests.

Trump says the money for the project is being raised by himself and through generous patriots, but the Whitehouse has not released any more information on who these people are.

Trump hosted a dinner at the Whitehouse for the donors funding the ballroom.

Reportedly, the guests at the dinner included representatives from Apple, Google, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, Palantir and Lockheed Martin.

But, Trump’s move has not come without controversy.

Democratic Congressman Mark Takano of California put forward a bill which would prevent the use of federal funds for any renovations or construction on the White House during a government shutdown, unless it was in the interest of health and safety. The American government is still in shutdown.

Also, plans have not yet been submitted to the National Capital Planning Commission which oversees federally construction work in the area, but the organization does not have jurisdiction over demolition work.

California Governor Gavin Newsom’s response has also caught a lot of attention, as he accused the president of 'Ripping apart the Whitehouse just like he’s ripping part the constitution.'

The renovations are set to be completed before the end of Trump’s term - and he has expressed that the venue will be suitable for hosting a presidential inauguration.
