Tchaikowsky - Troika, played by Elva Faeth Rider
Elva Faeth Rider made a fair number of song accompaniment rolls in 1925/6 for the Duo-Art, and a couple of teacher-student rolls. Troika was her only solo performance, and S3143 the only one issued on the 'Special' series implying that it was created for a specific customer. Some S rolls were issued in the UK using the same number but without the S prefix.
A web search shows that Rider was based in Kansas City. A review of this roll in Musical Times wasn't sure about its rhythm but was happier with the handling of the boken chords a the end.
Played here on my Weber Duo-Art grand piano.
