John Deere 400 Paintjob

This has been a really busy week for me behind the scenes, as I was working heavily on the John Deere 400 parts & panels. The panels for this John Deere 400 were actually in VERY good condition to start with. There were only two minor spots that I had to tap out and fill with a little bit of body filler. The hood on the other hand had various scratches and multiple dings...I spent many hours just getting the hood sanded down and filling in all the imperfections!

Once I was done with the bodywork,I got a temporary spray booth set up on the far side of the shop, so I could get all these parts painted. Usually, I paint outside because I like to keep this shop somewhat clean.
Even after the paint job, I noticed some areas of green paint outside of the booth! It's never good enough to just close everything off with tarps. The paint always tries to escape!!

Nevertheless, I was able to give all the panels a coat of primer and three coats of paint inside & out! I haven't painted much in the past, but I'm really satisfied with the outcome of these panels.

There are still a couple parts I need, as the seat, decals and taillights, but I will sort that out in the upcoming days for sure.
