Trans singer-songwriter Liniker, from Araraquara, Brazil, made LGBTQ+ history at the 26th Latin Grammy Awards ceremony held this week in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Liniker has now earned four Latin Grammy Awards, the first in 2022, when she became the first-ever out trans woman to win a Latin Grammy, followed by three additional trophies in 2025.
Even when factoring in the U.S.-based Grammy Awards, no other out trans woman has secured more trophies than Liniker to date. She sits just behind nonbinary artist Sam Smith, who has won a total of five Grammys over the course of their career.
