Seiko 7N42, 7N43, VX42 & VX43 watches: How to remove the stem & crown

Stem removal on a Seiko 7N42, 7N43, VX42 & VX43 quartz watch movement in easy steps:

1. Do not pull the crown out to the first or second click.
2. Use something with a fine point to push on the stem release dimple.
3. While pushing on the dimple (not too hard), gently pull the stem out.

To replace the stem, you don't need to push on the dimple again. Just push the crown and stem in slowly, wiggling it a bit if it gets stuck.
