Okara recipes - pizza base

This is an excellent way to use up your leftover okara - make it into a Pizza Base!

Pizza Base with Okara

1 1/2 cup fresh okara (cooked)
1 Tbsp maple syrup
1 packet (7g) quick acting yeast
1 cup strong wholemeal wheat flour
Mix the first 4 ingredients and leave in a bowl covered with a damp towel at room temperature for 1 to 1.5 hour.

After the rising period, feel free to add some salt and any herbs or spices you like to the dough before adding extra flour.

1/4 cup + more (as needed) strong wholemeal wheat flour for kneading and rolling into a pizza base shape (makes 2 pizzas).
Bake in a preheated oven at 250 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Add your toppings and bake for another 5-7 minutes. Enjoy!
