B: I did. Yeah, but it broke. I had to throw it out.
A: Just after one use? What a waste.
B: It's what I get for cheaping out.
A: I guess you get what you pay for, right?
B: Pretty much, yeah. Buy cheap, buy twice as they say. But at least I kept the lights and ornaments.
A: Ah there you go. So you just need to get a tree this time, right?
B: Right. The tree alone shouldn't cost that much actually.
A: Oh, wait. I think I have one at home that I'm not using.
B: Really?
A: I'm pretty sure I do. Yeah.

A: Well, it's been sitting in my garage for years. I forgot I even had it. I'll need to check, but it should be in good condition.
