I know you love these 4 minute tabata workouts because they’re quick, and more importantly, they work to destroy your body fat. This follow along, no repeat tabata routine will help you do that.

All you need for this 4 minute tabata workout is:
- Your body
- A stable elevated platform such as a bench
- Optional: agility ladder
- Interval timer

When Is The Best Time To Do Tabata Workouts?
You can do any of our 4 minute tabata workouts every day, first thing in the morning, and/or directly after your weight training workout. These tabata workouts help to really boost your metabolism.

4 Minute Tabata Workout For Weight Loss

Here’s the breakdown of today’s 4 minute tabata workout for weight loss.

Total time:
One tabata equals 4 minutes.

If you’re feeling energetic, complete a total of 2-4 x 4 minute tabatas, to make this an 8, 12, or 16 minute tabata workout.

Reps:
Complete 20 seconds per exercise.

Rest:
Take a 10 second rest between exercises.

Sets:
Since this tabata workout is comprised of 8 exercises, you will only need to complete 1 set per exercise.

That’s what makes this a no repeat tabata workout.

Exercises:
A1. Sprint
Reps: 20 seconds
Rest: 10 seconds
Sets: 1

Coaching cues: set your interval timer for 20 seconds, then complete an all out sprint. If you are completing this 4 minute tabata workout in the gym, you can do treadmill HIIT sprints. If you are doing it at home, you can perform high knee sprints.

A2. Walking Lunge
Reps: 20 seconds
Rest: 10 seconds
Sets: 1

Coaching cues: if you are completing this tabata workout in a small space, you can complete an alternating forward lunge.

A3. Bench Jump
Reps: 20 seconds
Rest: 10 seconds
Sets: 1

Lower impact modification: if you need a lower impact modification, complete a step up squat.

A4. Cross Knee Mountain Climber
Reps: 20 seconds
Rest: 10 seconds
Sets: 1

Note: the cross knee mountain climber is also referred to as the side to side mountain climber.

A5. Agility Ladder Lateral High Knees Shuffle
Reps: 20 seconds
Rest: 10 seconds
Sets: 1

Note: the agility ladder high knees shuffle is also referred to as side to side high knees. If you don’t have access to an agility ladder, simply complete the lateral high knees shuffle without it.

A6. Alternating Uneven Forearm Plank
Reps: 20 seconds
Rest: 10 seconds
Sets: 1

A7. Alternating Step Up Hop
Reps: 20 seconds
Rest: 10 seconds
Sets: 1

Lower Impact Modification: if you need a lower impact modification, complete an alternating step up.

A8. Diagonal Mountain Climbers
Reps: 20 seconds
Rest: 10 seconds
Sets: 1

Now I know you’re saying, “damn that’s good”, after that tabata workout. In just 4 minutes you will be torching your metabolism and blasting stubborn fat. However, as mentioned earlier, if you have more time, complete another 1-3 x 4 minute intervals.
