Coate inquiry has been ‘very strange’ but may ‘finally see something’
Sky News contributor Campbell Newman says the inquiry into Melbourne’s bungled hotel quarantine program has been “very strange”, but with the suite of new documents it may finally get answers.
It comes after Victoria's hotel quarantine inquiry was handed text messages Premier Daniel Andrews sent to his Chief of Staff, among a suite of new key documents handed to the inquiry on its final day of hearings.
“It’s extraordinary,” Mr Newman told Sky News host Peter Gleeson.
“It’s been a very strange inquiry indeed.
“Maybe finally we might see something as to what’s happened with this terrible debacle in Victoria.”
The final report from the Inquiry is set to be handed down on December 21.
