‘Common sense prevailed’ with Eraring power station

Nationals Senator Matt Canavan says he’s glad “common sense has prevailed” after NSW Premier Chris Minns announced he will extend the life of Eraring coal fired-power station until at least 2027.

"There's no doubt that the energy plan that Matt Kean presided over is an utter failure,” Mr Canavan told Sky News host Sharri Markson.

“Chris [Bowen] is doing federally what Matt did to NSW over a number of years, so we’re not out of the woods yet.”
