FreeCAD, creating Flat Patterns for Curved Fibreglass Rocket Nosecone Moulding
I've tinkered with laying up fibreglass rocket nosecones using 3D printed moulds but struggled to make accurate templates for cutting the fibreglass. In this video I show how you can create and export flat templates from the original nosecone 3D geometry in FreeCAD.
