Reflectance: Medium to strong

Colour: White to grey, may have a bluish tint

VHN and polishing hardness: 8 - 100 / soft

Pleochroism: Strong, white to grey with bluish tint

Anisotropism: Strong, white with pinkish or dark blue tint

Internal reflections: Not present

Twinning: Not present

Commonly associated minerals: Bismuth, brannerite, cassiterite, cobaltite, Co-Ni arsenides, enargite, galena, magnetite, niccolite-nickeline, pitchblende, sphalerite, uraninite, wolframite
