Chapter 4- Machu Picchu and the Urubamba Valley
After arriving in the early morning in Cuzco we set out to explore the Urubamba Valley, the sacred valley of the Incas. We learn about textile traditions in Chincero. We visit Willoq, a Quechua village, to see how the last vestige of the Incas live. In Ollantaytambo, we visit an old Inca house and tour the Archeological site to start to understand and better appreciate what we will be seeing at Machu Picchu. From Ollantaytambo, we take the train to Aguas Caliente. We can't wait and take the bus to the top and Machu Picchu. We spend the afternoon touring the ruins.
