Chapter 3-Chelinda Lodge, Malawi

We explored the Nyika National Park, a unique ecosystem. Nyika National Park is Malawi’s largest national park. It covers practically the whole of the Nyika Plateau in northern Malawi. Nyika means "where the water comes from" as the plateau's elevation makes it wetter than surrounding areas. The rolling grasslands are home to grazers like Crawshay's zebra, Roan antelope, Southern reedbuck and Common eland. Predators include Spotted hyena and leopard.
