L.A. Express - Down The Middle

I'm back with another video. I made this one back in March, 2013. This video is an upbeat Jazz Fusion tune from the L.A. Express. It is from their self-titled album from early 1976. The tune is called: "Down the Middle," and it is written by their drummer John Guerin. It was the 6th track on the album (first song on side 2 for LPs). The L.A. Express had been Tom Scott's backing band up until 1975. Simultaneously to the L.A. Express' debut, Tom Scott released "New York Connection," with other musicians.

NOTE: L.A. Express, the album, was, I believe the first album on the Caribou Record label. However, contrary to some accounts, the album was not recorded at Caribou Ranch. It was actually recorded at the A&M Studios in Los Angeles in 1975. It was produced by the L.A. Express and engineered by Hank Cicalo. The lineup for the band consisted of: Max Bennett (Bass), David Luell (saxophones), Robben Ford (guitars), Victor Feldman (keyboards and vibes), and John Guerin (drums).

Without further ado, let's enjoy this upbeat funky Jazz Fusion from the late 1970's. No copyright infringement intended. Enjoy:)
