Pre war cars update - Riley 9 stuff and Austin 7 nearly done
So the funny coincidence I forgot to explain was that when I first came to Wellington I went to a car show at Southwards Car Museum (https://www.southwardcarmuseum.co.nz/) to meet someone who had a Brooklands replica. There was a show on that day and he had his car there. He let me take pictures of it and sit in it. That's the only Brooklands, replica or real, I have seen so far. The other week, nearly 5 years later, I was at Southwards again and was about to go in and a chap came running up and said was that my MGB. I said yes and he said could he ask me about it as he was wanting to build one with the same Sebring treatment I did on mine. He introduced himself and I recognised the name. Was the same guy who owned the Brooklands replica. Unfortunately it has been sold now to the UK. I believe there is one original intact in NZ still in Chch and another in parts south of Auckland but that seems to be it.
