Pre war Riley 9 update and a new battery for the MGB

An update on the Riley where new parts means I can now start progressing things along. I have the parts I need now to finish the clutch which means I can get the whole rotating engine assembly balanced.

And some parts from the UK arrived including the long awaited offside engine/suspension/steering casting.

I also had to get a new battery for the MGB (my most modern car). I went for something that isn't cheap but should work well and hopefully last 15 years like the last battery did! The battery is an Optima 25. They must be good, it's what the Roadkill guys use and they are all about quality!

Also a quick mod I did to my little lathe. I did something similar to what is explained here: https://www.gadgetbuilder.com/CamLock.html On mine thought I made a seperate little piece that the eccentric operated on that slides inside the thimble. That is threaded so the bolt holding the lock plate
can be screwed into it. That plate is cast on my lathe and it has a slot the bolt head fits into. That means I can adjust the bolt one flat (on the hex head) at a time to get the perfect fit.
