How to Share Tweets to Your Instagram Story

Instagram and Twitter have added a new integration that allows users to share posts from Twitter directly to their Instagram story, without needing to take a screenshot! Watch this video to learn how to share tweets to Instagram stories.

To begin, open the Twitter app and find the tweet you’d like to share. Tap the share icon. From the menu that appears, select Instagram Stories. If prompted, tap Open. The tweet will appear in a new story post and will act as a sticker that you can resize, rotate, and place wherever you’d like. The tweet will appear either black or white depending on whether your Twitter app is in dark mode or light mode. Place the sticker where you’d like, add any filters, stickers, and text as you wish, then go ahead and post your story. Currently this feature does not allow for clickable links to tweets shared in stories, but we hope they’ll add that functionality eventually. Note that if you share a video tweet, the video will not be playable or clickable. It will appear as a static image sticker.
