Ford Explorer Goes Exploring Off The Freeway: Crashes Into Trees! Pause the video at the 30 second mark, where I show that I was requested to bring a rotator. I get comments occasionally from the peanut gallery saying "wow a rotator? I could have done that with this truck!" and maybe you could have, but that's not how it works down here. You bring what you are requested to bring. For the most part, it works just fine. On big jobs, sometimes the requested equipment just isn't enough so you explain and bring additional equipment.

A lot of my car jobs start off this way, where 1 or 2 companies got called out with rollbacks or wreckers and couldn't do it, so then I get it as a rotator call. Also pay attention to my truck being in the shoulder! Another HUGE benefit of a rotator is safely working in a shoulder off the side without taking up extra lanes of traffic. This spot allowed me to boom right over the vehicle wedged in the trees, straighten it out, then lift it straight up all in one shot.

From there, I swung it over the flatbed and set it straight down onto the flatbed. In and out, super fast and easy! The less time you're on the freeway, the better.
